Rio Plaza has the best staff we have ever seen. Melanie Planas was our Event Planner extradinaire and she followed up with every vendor we used and made impeccable recommendations of vendors and decorating ideas . The sucess of the wedding and reception was due to her and her staff and we could never thank them enough! We had the whole 4th floor, Las Leyendas was used for the wedding ceremony and later for dancing. It has an outside patio that wraps around and was a blast for dancing. The room itself large double doors on both sides with a barrel ceiling, it is so unique. The Penthouse was used for appetizers, delicious buffet meal provided by Rita's on the River (see review) and cake. It has small balconies facing the riverwalk and large windows showcase San Antonio's beautiful downtown.
